John Bostwick — Owner/President

John Bostwick is a co-owner of ServiceMaster of Baltimore and joined the firm in 1987 after spending 6 years serving our country in the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Controller. When John joined ServiceMaster of Baltimore they were predominately a Janitorial Services Company specializing in evening building maintenance. Seeing a need for qualified disaster restoration mitigation vendors in the Baltimore area, John concentrated his efforts in growing the company in that service line. Their services expanded to include the following services including:

• Fire and Smoke Remediation
• Vandalism Removal
• Sewage Cleanup
• Cleanup as a result of Homicides, Suicides and Natural Deaths or Incidents and involving Body Fluid
• Pack-Outs and Detailed Inventories

Over the past two decades, ServiceMaster of Baltimore has grown into one of the largest ServiceMaster Franchises in North America and continues its mission to provide unsurpassed customer service coupled with expert professionalism in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. John has been married to Radio/TV personality Kim Knight for 19 years. He has 3 wonderful children: Kate, Drew, and Kelly.

Carolyn Bostwick — Owner/President

Carolyn Bostwick is a co-owner and the General Manager of ServiceMaster of Baltimore. She joined the ServiceMaster family in 1980, working part time while attending college. After earning her AA, BA, and JD, Carolyn came to work full time for ServiceMaster of Baltimore in 1986. She is responsible for the internal administration of the company. Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Carol Walker — Director of Operations

Carol Walker began as the Marketer at ServiceMaster of Baltimore in 1999 and is currently the Operations and Office Manager. Carol has over 25 years of experience within the industry; she was an insurance adjuster for four years and an insurance agent for 10 years prior to her 12 years with ServiceMaster of Baltimore. Carol enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Her son Darryl is in the Air Force and working toward becoming a State Trooper and her daughter Erica is a teacher. She also enjoys traveling, watching old movies, and cooking.

Kate Bostwick — Assistant Director of Operations

Kate Bostwick is currently the Assistant to the Manager of Operations with ServiceMaster of Baltimore. Kate attended Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland and graduated in 2009 with a Business Management degree. The summer prior to her senior year she was the Marketing Intern at the ServiceMaster Clean home office in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation, Kate went to work as a Key Accounts Manager at A S Hospitality, a printing and graphic communications firm in Memphis; she recently returned to the ServiceMaster family in June. Kate enjoys reading and spending time with her family and her dog, Bella.

Harry Schmidt — Project Manager
Water|Sewage|Mold Remediation

Harry Schmidt has been employed with ServiceMaster of Baltimore for 18 years. He started as a Technician’s Assistant and, after several years, became a Crew Leader. Most recently he has held the position of Project Manager specializing in water, sewage and mold. Harry is accredited with the IICRC in AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation), WTR (Water Restoration) and FSRT ( Fire and Smoke Restoration). He also holds certifications in Trauma and Biohazard clean-up as well as OSHA training. Harry enjoys fishing and boating and is a member of Prince Lutheran Church in Rosedale; he volunteers his time whenever possible. Harry is married with 3 step children and 2 grandchildren. He currently resides in Rosedale, but is originally from Frankfurt, Germany.

Jose Machado — Project Manager

Jose Machado has been with ServiceMaster of Baltimore for 16 years. He started as a Field Technician and is now the Assistant Water Manager specializing in water and sewage mitigation and restoration. Jose is bilingual and is able to assist with all facets of the business where this skill is necessary. He is IICRC certified in WTR (Water Restoration) as well as lead paint and blood borne pathogens restoration. Jose has 3 children and enjoys playing music in his spare time, including instruments such as the bass, drum, and piano.

Rod Stroup — Project Manager

Rod Stroup is currently the Senior Fire Project Manager for ServiceMaster of Baltimore. Rod has seven years experience as a Large Loss Insurance Adjuster. Having also been an insurance restoration company owner, Rod is well versed in both residential and commercial building practices. Rod holds certifications including Water Damage Restoration Technician (OCT) through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). Other related certifications include Biohazard Cleanup through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and LEAD Certification through The State of Maryland. Rod has been married for 27 years and has two children and one grandchild. Rod enjoys yoga as well as officiating ice hockey in his spare time.

Tom Davies — Project Manager
Pack-out|Moving|Storage Services

Tom Davies is a Field Project Manager. He currently handles all contents packing, moving of contents, cleaning, warehousing, and storage services. Tom worked for a top 3 insurance carrier for 17 yrs from 1999–2007. After working in office and handling multi-line policies, he was moved into the field in 1999 as a large loss content adjuster for approximately 8 years. Tom started working for ServiceMaster of Baltimore in September of 2007. Tom likes golfing, skiing, and poker, but his favorite past time is motocross and has raced for 15 years. He has a wife and a 19 year old daughter. His wife is the office manager for an orthodontics office and has been in her field for 25 years. Tom’s daughter attends Stevenson University and plays on the lacrosse team.

Eric Donnelly — Project Manager

Eric’s passion is helping people through the claims process. Eric began his career in property claims in 1995. Eric has held positions in estimating, management, marketing and adjusting for water, smoke and fire restoration contracting firms and insurance carriers in the Baltimore market. Eric graduated from Towson University with a B.S. in Business Administration — marketing focus. Time outside of work is spent trying to keep up with 5 year old twin boys.

Brad Hopkins — Commercial Lines Account Representative

Brad Hopkins is employed with ServiceMaster of Baltimore as the Commercial Accounts Representative. His position with the company includes daily appointments with insurance agents and adjusters, property managers, facility managers and building owners. He coordinates social events with the other members of the marketing department as well as teaching Continuing Education classes to the local insurance companies. His classes include topics such as Ethics, Flood Insurance, Insurance Fraud, Errors & Omissions in the Insurance Industry. Prior to coming to ServiceMaster, Brad was in the home improvement industries working as a sales representative for major local and national home improvement businesses. Brad is a graduate of Fallston High School in Harford County and attended RETTS in Baltimore for a Computer Aided Drafting Design course. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his 3 children: Zach, Gavin and Laela. They keep him busy and are the most important people in his life. Brad is a big football fan and loves watching or attending the Baltimore Ravens games.

Darron Sistrunk — Personal Lines Account Representative

Darron Sistrunk is currently a Personal Lines Account Representative for ServiceMaster of Baltimore. He also teaches Continuing Education classes to the local insurance companies. His classes include topics such as Ethics, Flood Insurance, Insurance Fraud, Errors & Omissions in the Insurance Industry. Darron attended Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI and graduated in 2010 as a Marketing Major with his Business Administration degree. Darron worked for an independent insurance broker in Michigan during college and still retains his P&C license. During this time, Darron served as Youth Pastor of his local church. Darron & his wife, Felecia, currently serve on staff at Abundant Life Church in Rosedale, MD. Darron enjoys spending time with his wife, plays multiple musical instruments and loves playing basketball in his spare time.
